Streamlight ProTac 2.0 HP: Pocket-Sized 2,000 Lumen Powerhouse

July 11, 2025 by Scott Witner Leave a Comment

Streamlight ProTac 2.0 HP Review

If you thought your old 1,000-lumen light was bright, Streamlight just doubled down.

Their new ProTac 2.0 HP pumps out an impressive 2,000 lumens and throws a beam almost 600 meters, thanks to a scorching 85,000 candela rating.

Think of it as the pocket version of their ProTac 2.0 Rail Mount HL weapon light, built for everyday carry but with serious reach.

This upgraded tactical flashlight features a rechargeable SL-B50 lithium-ion battery, equipped with a handy USB-C port and LED charge indicators, eliminating the need for spare batteries.

Key features

  • Three modes: High (2,000 lm), Medium (550 lm), Low (100 lm)
  • Run time: Up to 31 hours on Low, 2.5 hours on High
  • Strobe: Two-hour runtime for signaling or disorientation
  • TEN-TAP® switch: Customize your mode sequence
  • One-handed tail switch: Momentary, variable, or strobe
  • Built tough: 6000 series machined aluminum, IP67 water/dust rated, impact tested to two meters

At just 6.1 inches long and 8.25 ounces, the ProTac 2.0 HP slips into a pocket but packs enough punch to light up the back 40—or stop a threat if you ever need a fistful of aluminum persuasion.

MSRP lands around $218, backed by Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Whether you’re a first responder, camper, or just want a seriously capable EDC light, the ProTac 2.0 HP pushes the lumen race forward in Streamlight’s usual rugged style.
