OLIGHT Olantern Classic 2 PRO | New Technology with a Classic Look

July 11, 2022 by Art Dorst Leave a Comment

The OLIGHT Olantern Classic 2 Pro is the second OLIGHT lantern/lamp that I’ve used.

One thing I liked right away about this lantern is the classic style and old school copper color. It looks just like a lantern found in a farmhouse or hunting cabin years ago. It has two light settings, a warm white and orange. Both with high and low settings. On the 300 lumen high setting, it’ll stay lit between 20 minutes and 16 hours depending on the brightness. On the 130 lumen low setting, it’ll run for up to 35 hours. The 130 lumen orange light setting will run for 23 hours. Or 7.5 days on the lowest 10 lumen setting. All settings are adjusted via a step-less dimmer knob on the front of the lantern.

The Olantern can be charged via a USB C cable (Provided).

The charging port is found on the front of the lantern just below the adjustment knob. It takes approximately four hours to fully charge. The lantern can also be charged with a magnetic charging cable (not included). Charging via the magnetic cable takes approximately 10 hours. There is also a reverse charging port that accept standard USB attachments found within the lanterns charging port. Allowing to charge other devices. When charging a cell phone from the lantern, it took about an hour and half to get a full charge from less than fifty percent power. Another nice feature is the ability to recharge the lantern using solar power.

Olantern Video Overview:

“The Olantern Classic 2 Pro is an Olight-tech rechargeable LED lantern with retro style. This lantern delivers an even 360-degree light distribution for power outages and backyard get-togethers. Simply rotate the stepless-dimming knob to reach an orange or warm white light to preserve night vision.” ~olightworld.com

Its dual-color temperature LEDs provide cozy orange and warm white light

I let the lantern run on the warm white high setting for twelve hours. With continuous use, there was no noticeable loss of intensity or brightness. I did the same test using the orange light setting with equal results. I really like this lantern as it blends in well with our homes outdoor décor. And would work great for power outages, camping, outdoor BBQ’s etc. If you’re looking for a traditional looking rechargeable lantern look no further than the OLight Olantern Classic 2 PRO.
