Yeti Boomer 8 | Keeping Mans best friend hydrated

I recently received a Yeti Boomer 8 Dog Bowl to review. I know it’s not the usual type of gear we review here on The Gear Bunker, but being a dog lover I was really looking forward to the opportunity to check out this piece of K9 kit. Initially thinking I was being sent a four cup size bowl and was going to have our Chihuahua Zoey be the tester. Upon arrival I realized that the larger Boomer 8 had been sent and would be a better bed for her than a bowl. So I decided to employ my daughter’s dogs Brody the Sheltie and Remy the Husky as my test staff.

Dimensions:

The first thing you notice about the bowl when you hold it is the solid feel that it has in your hand, it’s not a flimsy or light weight. Its smooth fit and finish have the true quality feel. I prefer stainless steel bowls for dogs as they eliminate the tiny slivers of plastic that can be swallowed with plastic bowls from the dogs teeth scraping on them. And like all Yeti products, well built and over engineered.

When you fill the bowl and set it on the floor the weight and Bearfoot nonslip ring keep it in place from the most dynamic eating and drinking actions…at least by my testing staff. After testing, both Brody and Remy gave the Yeti Boomer 8 Dog Bowl their paw of approval. If you’re looking for a quality bowl for your pet especially if they tend to be active eaters or drinkers who are frequently spilling their food or water I highly recommend the Yeti Boomer 8 Dog bowl.
