Vasque Breeze LT GTX Boots

February 4, 2022 by Scott Witner Leave a Comment

Vasque Breeze LT GTX Boots

I live in Northeastern Ohio and in the fall the weather starts to become very unpredictable. Being able to have a low-profile boot that can handle our variations in weather as well as blend into an urban environment is important to me. I’m not one of those guys that wear boots to work and then changes into a work shoe for the office. I want one shoe or boot that can handle the elements and pass for a business casual dress code. The Vasque Breeze LT GTX answers that call.

These boots are lightweight and streamlined, so it almost feels like you’re wearing a hiking shoe versus a boot. The colorway I went with was the Beluga/Lime Green which actually pairs really well with my business casual jeans and pants that I wear to work. When you put these boots on for the first time you’ll immediately notice the arch support. Not something I typically notice in other boots I’ve worn over the years. This noticeable arch support aids in all-day comfort and correct body posture when on your feet a lot.

The Goretex membrane blocks water and snow from entering the boot, but at the same time allows any moisture from the inside to evaporate. That combined with the Vasque Exclusive Vibram Ground Control LiteBase with Megagrip Compound gives you the edge you need when commuting or hiking in less than ideal weather conditions.

The last reason that sealed the deal for me on these boots is the lack of insulation. Yes, I prefer my boots to NOT have insulation. Instead of having the insulation, I just wear a good pair of Darn Tough socks and I’m good to go for the day. The reason being is that if your boot insulation gets wet, you’re screwed. Even when it dries out, it will never retain the insulating properties it originally had. This decision comes from both personal experience and the experience of other industry professionals whose advice I trust.

The Breeze Lite GORE-TEX® is a fast, lightweight addition to the beloved Breeze line. Cut weight while enjoying all-day comfort, elite traction, and waterproof peace of mind.
