The UAG Active Watch Band is Built for Daily Adventure

The UAG Active Watch Band is Built for Daily Adventure

I’ve been looking for a good excuse to get my hands on the UAG Universal Active Watch Band. Well, when I got my Ares DIVER-1 Mission TImer, I decided it was a perfect time.

Being that the DIVER-1 has a 22mm lug width, that’s the option I went with for the watch strap. Out of the box, it only took about a minute or two to install the watch band. UAG provides you with two QuickFit spring lug bars installed in the strap, making it a little quicker to install (no tools required).

Once installed, I strapped it to my wrist, and I gotta tell you guys, my first thought was how damn comfortable this strap is. It is much more comfortable than most other straps (Nato, nylon, metal, or rubber) that I have worn.

With that comfort though comes a wider strap. Wider than most watch straps. This may be a turn off for some, but there are some benefits to the wider strap. Because of the wider surface area of the hook and loop velcro closure, you’re going to get a much more secure hold. Additionally, due to the width of the material, there is just a far less chance of the strap being compromised due to a cut or tear.

The velcro closure is extremely secure and makes next to no noise when adjusting it or taking it off. I know that may not sound like a big deal to most, but that loud obnoxious sound of hook and loop velcro being pulled away bugs the hell out of me. The small red UAG tab acts as a pull tab when adjusting the fit. Allows for a fast on/off and adjustment of the strap.

Everything from the stainless steel hardware to the nylon weave of the strap exudes durability and confidence. UAG has definitely stepped outside the box with this design creating either love or hate of the watch band for the owner.

Built for the rugged adventurer, the Active Watch Band is designed to be one of the strongest watch bands on the market. High strength materials work together to provide the peace of mind you need to take your watch along on your most rigorous activities.
