Tisas PX-9 2.0 Duty Comp: A Budget-Friendly Contender for Carry or Competition

July 14, 2025 by Scott Witner Leave a Comment

Tisas PX-9 2.0 Duty Comp with ported slide and RMR cut

Tisas USA just upped the ante with the launch of the PX-9 2.0 Duty Comp, a feature-rich, optics-ready 9mm pistol that merges competition performance with duty-grade reliability—all at a sub-$550 price point.

Built on the proven PX-9 2.0 platform, this new model introduces a ported slide and barrel for flatter shooting and faster follow-ups. Whether you’re punching paper on the competition line or carrying on duty, the PX-9 Duty Comp offers enhanced recoil control without breaking the bank.

Purpose-Built for Performance

At the heart of this pistol is a single-action, 4-pound aluminum flat-faced trigger with a crisp break and short reset. It ships with two magazines (18- or 20-round P226-pattern), and, like all PX-9 variants, features a highly modular grip system—27 total grip configurations—to dial in the perfect fit and feel.

Tisas didn’t cut corners on durability either. Internals are NATO-spec and nickel-coated to resist corrosion, while the slide and barrel wear a QPQ finish for longevity. The RMR-pattern optic cut allows for direct mounting of a red dot and co-witnessing with backup irons.

“The PX-9 has been such a success for TISAS that we wanted to take it to another level with the 2.0 Duty Comp,” said Chris DiCenso, CEO of SDS Arms. “Whether you’re running it in competition or relying on it for duty use, this firearm delivers.”
