Helinox Table One is my favorite lightweight camp table

August 12, 2023 by Erik Meisner 1 Comment

Table One Large for breakfast

This isn’t the first Helinox product we’ve put through the paces over the years. In fact, the Helinox Sunset Chairs have become our favorite throne when packing light. And the FJ Cruisers limited space requires us to be mindful when packing for a trip. So when Helinox sent me the Table One Large Hard Top for a trip out west, I was eager to check it out.

Table One

Measuring 19.5″ tall and featuring a rigid top that’s 29.5″ x 22″, this is the original Table One’s big brother. Having used the smaller Table One for the past 2 years, this taller rigid version is a nice fit for our camp lifestyle. The additional height makes this a great two person dining experience. Accordion style folding rigid panels not only allow the table to easily break down, but also allow it to carry some serious weight.

Supported by the same lightweight DAC aluminum poles found in high-end tents, the Table One provides a lightweight yet rock steady frame. High strength nylon resin hubs secure the poles for a taught and secure fit. Like most Helinox products, the Table One features a simple and intuitive set-up. Although this Large version table takes up a little more space in the drawer system, the trade off for a more functional size is worth it.

As I roam through the Rockies of Colorado, into the Mesa’s of New Mexico and finally the alien landscape around Moab, Utah, the Helinox Table One is getting put through its paces daily. From meal prep to meal consumption, it’s been the perfect companion to our Sunset Chairs. I’ve even used it to set-up the Hottap shower system as well as a landing platform for my Mavic aerial drone.

I feel the high quality materials and construction will last for years despite repeated use cycles. Check out the full line of lightweight chairs, tables and sleeping cots at Helinox.com
