Tech Pouch & Toiletry Bag by WANDRD Gear

October 26, 2023 by Erik Meisner Leave a Comment

WANDRD

WANDRD Toiletry and Tech Pouches are made with TPU coated Nylon for added weather protection

WANDRD, a small company formed by two brothers, innovates travel bags and accessories. They started this company because they weren’t satisfied with the status quo. And here are a couple of their inventions. The Toiletry Bag and Tech Pouch. Both share construction and material similarities yet they’re designed for different uses.

WANDRD Toiletry Bag

WANDRD

The Toiletry Bag is available in both medium and large sizes. I opted for the Large because I’m in the market for a week long toiletry kit. Broken into two separate zippered compartments, the large Toiletry Bag is further organized with several inter pockets. Each compartment features a separate zippered pocket for small items like jewelry or medications. The large compartment features a smart toothbrush loop with an antimicrobial cover to protect the bristles. The smaller compartment includes a pair of mesh pockets for items like Q-tips, toothpaste or nail clippers.

Toiletry Bag Specifications:

  • N420 ROBIC With TPU COATING
  • Large: 9″ x 3.5″ x 6.25″ (22.9 x 8.9 x 15.9 CM) Medium: 9″ x 2.5″ x 4.75″ (22.9 x 6.4 x 12.1 CM) Carry Strap: 46″ x 1″ (116.8 x 2.5 CM)

The exterior of the Toiletry Bag is constructed of TPU coated Nylon to protect the contents from the elements. That’s because this bag has the ability to be mounted to the outside of select back packs. Also in defense of Mother Nature are water resistant YKK zippers. With ample pull cords these self sealing zippers can be opened and closed with ease. Additionally, two large nylon loop handles on either end of the bag make pulling it from within a pack, quite easy. Finally, a bottom mounted nylon strap allows the user to slide his or her hand through it to better secure the bag while holding it.

WANDRD Tech Pouch

The Tech Pouch, although similar to the Toiletry Bag, features an interior specifically designed to manage electronic devices, cords, power bricks and writing utensils. This is always a challenge for me when traveling. Typically I throw cords, plugs and all the other tech crap in my carry on pack. Now I have a better solution. With six divided compartments within the main zippered pocket, I’m able to easily manage these items. Like the Toiletry Bag, the Tech Pouch can be mounted to the exterior of select backpacks. Or an accessory strap can be attached for additional carry options.

Tech Pouch Specs & Dimensions:

  • P900D Tarpaulin
  • Large: 5.5″H x 9″W x 4″D (13.9cm x 22.9cm x 10.2cm) 3.5 Liter
  • Medium: 4.5″H x 9″W x 3″D (11.4cm x 22.9cm x 7.6cm) 2 Liter
  • Small: 4.5″H x 7.75″W x 2″D (11.4cm x 19.7cm x 5cm) 1 Liter

Final Thoughts:

Although I don’t yet own any WANDRD back packs to mount either of the accessory bags to, I will continue to use them regularly. The Tech Pouch is a welcome addition to further organize my peripherals while on the road. The robust material and water resistant zippers as well as the large zipper pulls are among my favorite features of both bags. The hook on the Toiletry Bag has me thinking where I can attach this to the FJ while traveling overland. Be sure to check out WANDRD and see if there’s anything that would make your travel more organized.
