SOG Knives Recondo FX Tactical Fixed Blade

October 5, 2022 by Guest Writer 1 Comment

SOG Knives Recondo FX Tactical Fixed Blade

Tactical knife and tool manufacturer SOG has just released the latest in its professional-grade fixed blade series of cutting tools—the Recondo FX.

The Recondo FX is designed as a no-nonsense knife that covers any field application. With a 4.6-inch blade length and overall length of 9.6 inches, the Recondo FX is sized to tackle a broad range of cutting and slicing tasks with its clip point profile and available partial serrations.

Weighing 5.3 ounces, the blade is made from rugged cryo-treated 440C steel, providing the hardness and strength needed in a tactical-oriented knife. The black titanium nitride finish boosts corrosion resistance and reduces friction for smoother cuts.

Equally durable is the handle construction. The GRN/TPU handle is virtually indestructible and is ergonomically crafted to enhance control and retention. A deep finger groove and integrated pommel ensure a solid grip while textured sides and jimping spanning the handle and blade spine offer excellent control even when hands are slippery.

Offered in black or FDE in a straight edge or partially serrated blade configurations, the Recondo FX includes a GRN sheath with a universal mounting system and a slot in the pommel to secure a lanyard.

Have you guys looked at the box it comes in? It’s clearly marked ‘440A’ not 440c. I know the websites say 440c but I’d definitely check with SOG on this.
