The Redesigned SOG Aegis AT Outdoor Knife

The SOG Aegis AT Is Ready To Go Anywhere and Gives You Confidence In Any Outdoor Condition

3 Design Enhancements of the new SOG Aegis AT Outdoor Knife

AT-XR Lock

SOG’s patented Assisted Technology (AT) XR Lock, delivers fast, one-handed open and solid lock-up on the SOG Aegis AT knife. Reliable and powerful, able to withstand 1500 pounds of force, AT-XR Lock provides the ultimate built-in blade locking security when open and ensures it only opens when intended. Read more about this amazing lock design HERE. Knowing the design intent behind this lock and the load that it can withstand gives me increased confidence knowing I can push this knife a little harder if needed in a survival situation.

Safety 2.0

SOG worked with end-users to develop an ambidextrous safety that is as easy as it is fast to use. Designed to be intuitive and utilize natural hand movements, it means you don’t have to break your grip to operate it. Once open, it locks into place and provides an index point for your thumb. It’s everything a safety should be on a folding knife.

Cryo D2 Blade Steel

Cryo D2 blade steel is a versatile high-carbon tool steel that is cryogenically heat-treated to SOG’s unique performance specifications. D2 provides the ideal combination of edge retention and durability for long term use in the field. As you’ll see in the following video, the blade also works really well with a firesteel rod for making a fire.
