Oakley Standard Issue Flak 2.0 Thin Blue Line Edition

Oakley Standard Issue Flak 2.0 Thin Blue Line Edition

I am always a fan of companies that show their love for the men and women that hold the thin blue line, but Oakley’s partnership with first responders and military personnel is one that was established decades ago and they have never faltered in their support.

The Standard Issue Flak 2.0 Thin Blue Line edition is a solid pair of sunglasses that can be utilized in pretty much any sport, and seeing as I believe police officers should be athletes, they are a great fit for duty eyewear. The style is simple but sharp and comes in a very lightweight chassis.

The lens design offers an exceptional amount of coverage keeping your eyes protected in every shooting platform and the wide peripheral coverage ensures no debris will sneak in from the sides. The arch cut at the bottom of the lens keeps it from fogging and they also come in many different lens options including a wide range of prescriptions.

The 3 point fit system is great for any size head; I have a rather large head and they fit me perfectly. As a firearms instructor, I usually battle with sunglasses because I am always wearing a hat. The Flak 2.0 has a straight temple that shoots straight back and fits surprisingly well under a hat.

The frame is very durable and offers a breakaway temple that can pop out and be snapped back in rather than breaking altogether. With the everyday chance of getting into an altercation or foot chase for a peace officer, it is important to have a solid pair of sunglasses.

The Flak 2.0 is a solid pair and what better way to sport it than by supporting the men and women of Law Enforcement. Check out the video to see more.
