Oakley SI Targetline American Heritage Eyewear

March 27, 2022 by Scott Witner Leave a Comment

Oakley SI Targetline American Heritage Eyewear

Oakley has always been a front runner in the eyewear industry, especially with the military. I remember back in the ’90s guys wearing the old school M Frames. Wearing them for everything from shooting on the range to playing volleyball on the local beaches. Since then, Oakley has continued to evolve with the industry and remain at the top.

I was never a big fan of the M Frame style eyewear, but once they began to offer more of a ‘lifestyle’ type option, they had my attention. Case in point, is the American Heritage series.

Pulling from America’s rich history, the American Heritage collection draws inspiration from different eras in US History, Military and Culture. This collection connects the passion and nostalgia of key events in our history with a modern twist.

Built with sport performance in mind, we gave Targetline an angled brow and sleek temples designed to fit well under a hat. The integrated side shields help combat backside glare, while INCREASED FOV ensures uninterrupted downward vision, whether you’re swinging at the golf ball or finding your way through obstacles.

Oakley SI Targetline American Heritage Eyewear

Overall the Targetline American Heritage eyewear is great for my lifestyle. They don’t scream tactical or shooter but give off more of an adventure lifestyle vibe which I prefer. They fit really well while wearing a ball cap and on a really bright day outside, they allow you to have better clarity, less strain on your eyes, and increased awareness of your surroundings.

The Targetline shades look like a ‘normal’ pair of sunglasses, but from a design standpoint, they are far from. Just take a look at the specs below.

  • Lightweight O Matter™ frame equipped with Unobtainium™ increases grip and Thin Stem Technology for over-ear protection compatibility
  • Three-Point Fit precisely holds the lens in place for optical alignment.
  • HDO™ Optics with Plutonite™ lens technology provides optical clarity while blocking 100% of UVA and UVB protection
  • Prizm™ lenses enhance color, contrast, and detail for an optimized experience
  • HDPolarized™ lenses and Iridium™ lens coating both reduce glare and light transmission
  • Available with Oakley Authentic Prescription lenses
  • Angled brow improving hat compatibility
  • Sleek temples that slide under most hats
  • Taller lens allowing for uninterrupted downward peripheral vision

If you’re currently serving our country, a veteran, or just extremely proud to live in America, then I highly recommend that you take a hard look at the Oakley American Heritage eyewear product line.
