Never be left stranded with The Athena from Uncharted Supply

November 14, 2023 by Erik Meisner Leave a Comment

Athena

You just wrapped up another long hard work week and are looking forward to the weekend. As you leave the office and walk out to the parking lot, all you can think of is the weekend. Throw the briefcase in the backseat, take a deep breath and turn the key. Nothing… Try again and again but your vehicle isn’t responding. As you troubleshoot from the cockpit, you realize the headlights were left on. Ugh, a dead battery and no one around to help jump start your vehicle. Fortunately, you have The Athena from Uncharted Supply in the trunk. This compact 16,000 mAh booster pack is about to save the day.

Bring your own electricity with the all-powerful Athena, our newest portable energy system.

Carrying jumper cables is fine, if there is another vehicle to jumpstart your battery from. I’ve spent a fair amount of time alone in the FJ Cruiser exploring the Rocky Mountains. Or the deserts of Moab, Utah. A dead battery in the places I go would be a problem. Although I haven’t killed a battery while camping remote, it’s nice to know The Athena is packed into my recovery kit. Included in the kit is a 16,000 mAh battery pack, a smart battery clamp and a couple USB charging cables.

Jumpstart up to a 6.0L Gasoline or Diesel engine in seconds, at least 15 times with one charge.

Not only will The Athena jump up to a 6.0L Gasoline or Diesel engine in seconds. It will do it at least 15 times with just one charge. Additionally, the included USB cables allow recharging of electronic devices including laptop computers. Located on one end of The Athena is a 3-in-1 LED light. A light that can be toggled between constant on, strobe and SOS. A handy feature while connecting the “smart clamps” at night or in a dark engine compartment. Simple instructions are printed on the “smart clamps” as to the safe connection to a vehicle battery. A built-in LED informs the user of correct or incorrect connection before using.

Final Thoughts:

I’ve been stranded on the water with a dead battery. After a day of running the radio/subwoofer on a sandbar, it was an unpleasant discovery. Now I have a battery pack onboard just in case. I’ve also added one to the FJ’s recovery kit for those remote camping trips. At $139, it’s a great piece of kit to add to any vehicle. If you have teenage drivers in your family, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to teach them how to use it too. There’s nothing more frustrating that being left with a dead battery somewhere.
