MICRO3 Review | Ozonics’ Vehicle Ozone Generator

August 19, 2023 by Timothy Gauthier Leave a Comment

Spending time outdoors can create smelly people and gear, which can leave your vehicle smelling like a stink bomb and send your family and friends running for the hills. After hiking or transporting my dog, I often enter my truck, notice a stink, and want to destroy the stench. Ozonics Hunting has an answer to that problem of a stink bomb vehicle odor with the MICRO3.

Ozonics MICRO3 Video Overview

The Ozonics MICRO3 is a small ozone generator designed to produce ozone, and the generator only needs a vehicle’s 12V auxiliary outlet to power it. It measures four inches long, two inches wide, and one and three-quarter inches high. At the MICRO’s end is the 12V plug for the generator. At the front is where the MICRO3 produces and disperses the ozone. The generator’s front also contains a green LED light that signals when the unit is operating.

MICRO3 Operation

Operating the MICRO3 is an uncomplicated process. All that a person requires in a vehicle is a 12V outlet. To start the generator, insert it into the outlet, confirm the green light is on, and then leave the car unoccupied and completely closed. The MICRO3 will shut down after its twenty-minute cycle. Ozonics recommends that users wait for at least five minutes after the unit shuts down to aerate the car. To rerun the generator, remove the unit and re-insert it into the 12V outlet.

Since most 12V outlets in modern vehicles usually need a key in the ignition to run, the best way to run the MICRO3 without having to leave a key in the ignition is to make adjustments to the vehicle’s circuit panel. The adjustment that needs to take place is moving the circuit that powers the 12V outlet so that it connects with the 30-power pin. However, this solution does not work with all vehicles. In that case, as with my truck, I will have the key in the ignition and work around my truck until the twenty minutes have passed.

Final Thoughts

The MICRO3 is a “fire and forget” ozone generator. I have used the generator in my wife’s car and my truck for four weeks. The MICRO3 also worked well in eliminating the stink from our pet in my truck. After each use, I have noticed a difference in the scent quality of our vehicles once the MICRO3 completes its cycle. For $49.99, this ozone generator helps eliminate awful scents lingering in cars and makes it passenger friendly again.
