Hydro Flask’s Limited Edition USA Bottles | Quick Look

September 2, 2021 by Erik Meisner Leave a Comment

USA edition

Hydro Flask is proud to support USA Surfing athletes as they represent the USA in Tokyo this summer.

“Get in on the action with our Limited Edition official team bottle and throw a big wave to the USA Surf Team.” ~ hydroflask.com

In a sea of insulated bottles, a few manufacturers rise to the top in my opinion. Hydro Flask has always been one of my top 2 picks. And with the Olympics and Para Olympics taking place in 2021, Hydro Flask has released 2 Limited Edition USA bottles.  A 21oz standard mouth bottle and a larger 32oz wide mouth bottle. Both bottles feature a slick metallic white paint scheme with a stylized red-silver-blue USA logo. A blue silicone bottle boot protects against bumps and keeps the bottle from sliding on smooth surfaces. And a flexible red loop adorns the lid of both USA bottles. Rounding out their patriotic color scheme.

TempShield™ Insulation

“Our unique double wall vacuum insulation protects temperature for hours. Cold drinks stay icy cold and hot drinks stay piping hot so you can stay refreshed for any adventure.” ~ hydroflask.com

Both the 32oz and 21oz versions of the Limited Edition USA bottles come with a premium price tag. $52.95 and $39.95 respectively. However, Hydro Flask doesn’t skimp on the materials or craftsmanship. Their 18/8 Pro Grade Stainless Steel and TempShield Insulation will keep your drink hot for 12 hours in real-world situations. Skiing in the Wasatch Mountains with a 21 ounce bottle of hot chocolate proved that to me. I especially appreciate the insulated lid to help keep the heat in. I prefer the Wide Mouth 32 ounce bottle for cold beverages as it’s easy to add ice through the wider opening.

Product Benefits

  • Limited Edition
  • Ideal size for all-day hydration
  • Fits most backcountry water filters
  • TempShield™ insulation keeps beverages cold up to 24 hours and hot up to 12 hours
  • Durable 18/8 Pro-Grade Stainless Steel construction

  • Compatible with all Wide Mouth Caps and Lids
  • Lifetime Warranty

Final Thoughts:

A couple years ago, I did a non-scientific test between the Hydro Flask Tumbler and Yeti’s Rambler. Owning several versions of each brand that I use daily, I was curious if one stood above the other. After carefully measuring equal amounts of hot water. Both vessels were filled and temperatures checked over the next few hours. The bottom line was that they both maintained their temps longer than I expected and with nearly equal temperature drop. No clear winner. Or both are winners depending on how you look at it. This is a Limited Edition model so don’t wait for them to sell out.

Rest assured if you purchase one of these patriotic masterpieces, that Hydro Flask has you covered with a Lifetime Warranty. Additionally, Hydro Flask supports non-profit organizations focused on building, maintaining, restoring, and providing better access to parks. Since 2017, they have been doing just that. With 122 Non-profits supported, 1.9 million dollars donated and 55,958 bottles donated, Hydro Flask is giving back in spades.
