Health benefits of sipping on a glass of whiskey

I remember growing up and watching some of the old western tv shows with my dad and even some of the western movies such as Young Guns.

A common practice seen in those by the old west gunfighters is drinking whiskey and using it to sterilize gunshot wounds. I never really gave it much thought other than some badass dudes having a stiff drink while toting around their loaded smoke wagon on their hip.

Although there IS something very masculine about drinking whiskey, it does have health benefits. Check it out!

My Favorite Whiskey Drink | The Godfather Cocktail

Not too long ago I went out with some friends to a local restaurant/winery.

It was more on the higher end of places to eat and drink. So with that said I put on my State and Liberty button-down shirt, Defender Flex pants and strapped on my NFW timepiece to finish the look off.

If you’re going to a place to drink good whiskey, then you need to be rocking a bad-ass timepiece, just sayin. Looking over the drink menu, I noticed a cocktail named the Godfather.

After reading the short description of the drink, I had to try it. I mean how can you not with a name like that.

When the drink arrived (pictured above) I was excited. Sipping on that drink makes you feel like a gangster. Just close your eyes and imagine sitting in a dark leather chair, with a cigar in one hand and the Godfather drink in the other.

You can damn near put yourself in the movie Godfather. It’s a very satisfying feeling and even more satisfying drink.

Although some of the ‘recipes’ for this cocktail are different, the underlying mix is the same across the board. It’s one part whiskey (of your choice) and one part Amaretto on the rocks.
