Stop Chasing Screws — Clean Like a Pro with the GRITR Magnetic Gun Cleaning Mat

November 3, 2025 by Scott Witner Leave a Comment

Clean Like a Pro with the GRITR Magnetic Gun Cleaning Mat

If you’ve ever spent 10 minutes crawling on the floor looking for a runaway detent spring, this one’s for you.

The GRITR Magnetic Gun Cleaning Mat is a simple yet game-changing upgrade for anyone who takes firearm maintenance seriously.

Whether you’re breaking down your rifle after a long-range day or doing a detailed pistol cleaning, this mat keeps every part exactly where it belongs: organized, secure, and within reach.

A Smarter Way to Clean, Maintain, and Build

Every gunsmith, hobbyist, or gearhead knows the pain of losing small parts mid-project. GRITR’s design solves that frustration with strategically placed magnetic zones that securely hold screws, pins, and other metal parts in place.

Recessed compartments along the mat prevent non-magnetic pieces, such as springs and polymer bits, from rolling off your workbench.

It’s not just about convenience, it’s about efficiency. With everything organized, you can focus on what matters: cleaning, inspecting, and reassembling your firearm like a pro.

Built Tough for Real Workbenches

Unlike thin neoprene mats that bunch up, soak up oil, or slide around, GRITR’s mat is made from rugged, stain-resistant PVC. The non-slip surface stays firmly planted even when you’re applying torque or scrubbing carbon buildup.

At 0.25 inches thick, it provides a cushioned, durable workspace that protects both your firearm and your bench from scratches, solvents, and impacts.

And when you’re done? Wipe it down; oil, cleaner, and carbon residue won’t stick.

Choose the Right Size for Your Setup

GRITR offers two mat sizes to fit your workspace and firearms collection:

  • Rifle Mat: 36″ x 10″ — perfect for AR-platform rifles, hunting rifles, or precision builds.
  • Handgun Mat: 16.5″ x 10.5″ — compact, ideal for pistols, slides, and smaller maintenance jobs.

Keep Your Bench Organized with the GRITR Magnetic Gun Cleaning Mat

This rugged, non-slip PVC mat with magnetic zones and recessed trays keeps every screw and spring in place during cleaning and gunsmithing.

Both include built-in magnetic areas, recessed trays, and durable PVC construction that can handle everything from daily cleanings to full gunsmith projects.

Designed for Easy Storage and Portability

GRITR thought through the details. When your cleaning is done, roll it up into the included mesh bag for compact storage, or hang it using the two integrated hooks for quick access on your wall, workbench, or range locker.

Whether you’re working in a home shop or traveling for a match, the mat rolls up easily and fits into any range or cleaning kit.

Not Just for Firearms

While designed for shooters, the Magnetic Gun Cleaning Mat has found fans beyond the gun world. Mechanics, hobbyists, and DIYers use it for electronics repair, knife maintenance, and even model assembly. Anywhere small parts like to vanish, this mat becomes an instant sanity saver.

Backed by GRITR’s Lifetime Warranty

Every mat comes with the GRITR “Unlimited GRIT” Lifetime Warranty, a true sign of confidence in their gear. If you somehow manage to wear it out, tear it, or damage it through normal use, GRITR will repair or replace it at no additional cost. No questions, no excuses.

Final Thoughts

The GRITR Magnetic Gun Cleaning Mat isn’t just another bench pad; it’s an organizational tool, a time-saver, and a must-have for anyone who cleans or maintains firearms. With its rugged build, magnetic functionality, and lifetime guarantee, it’s easily one of the best gun cleaning mats available today.

So next time you strip down your rifle or pistol, stop chasing screws and start cleaning smarter.
