Classic vs Smart Watches

Classic vs Smart Watches

Classic vs Smart Watches

Fancy so-called smartwatches have their place in the world. But nothing matches the rugged & elegant simplicity of a fine analog watch. In our current culture of over-analysis and information-overload, there’s something very special in a precision instrument that simply does one extremely important task: Telling Time.

A classic watch, such as the Valor model shown above, will never need a software update. It will never need to be plugged in to recharge. It won’t be secretly tracking everything you do & everywhere you go. And it will always be the symbol of sophistication.

Let your smartphone be the tech device that connects you to the world. But let your wrist be a place to show style, elegance, and a place to appreciate the importance & simplicity of the one thing that controls the world – – the great equalizer: TIME.

Looking at an analog watch can actually quiet the mind, quiet the static of the busy digital world. To relate a brief story to illustrate this point, a friend of mine from the US Army 7th Special Forces Group told me of an experience he had:

I was engaged in a firefight with the enemy. Bullets were flying everywhere. I was taking cover behind the wheel of our vehicle. My mind was losing its grip on time. In the fog of war, it’s common for time to feel like it’s speeding up or slowing down. So I stared down at my NFW and watched the seconds hand count the passing seconds. This is what brought my mind back to a focus and back to the reality of time & the task at hand.

Simplicity is elegant and timeless, just like the NFW Valor. Plus, a classic analog timepiece looks way sexier than a mini-computer box on your wrist!
