Beyond Clothing Unleashes the Yuba Ultralight K6 Rain Anorak

August 24, 2021 by Erik Meisner Leave a Comment

Yuba K6
The Yuba K6 Anorak is one of the lightest weight 3L hard-shells available, featuring 3 layer Pertex® Shield fabric. This expedition-grade jacket is a perfect tagalong for any adventure. Or to keep around as an emergency backup, as it packs down to just about nothing. Weighing just under 8oz, the Yuba self-stows into its own pouch pocket. Allowing it to disappear into a pack until the weather turns.
Yuba K6
While being lightweight, it still offers a 20,000mm/30,000g waterproof/breathable rating. Ensuring a combined water and windproof protection wherever needed. And don’t let the ultralightweight spec fool you, this is not a fragile or uncomfortable piece of kit, as tends to be the case when weight is shaved. This jacket is ready for rocky scrambles and overgrown trails thanks to the 7D ripstop face. And won’t leave you with that gross clammy interior surface.
Yuba K6
Additionally, it has all the features anyone would want in an expedition ready jacket: a built-in adjustable hood that accommodates helmets, a kangaroo pocket and right bicep pocket with waterproof zippers, a droptail hem with drawcord adjustment for extended coverage, partial elastic hems for snug wrist closures, and 3M® black reflective treatment for increased visibility.
Yuba K6
True to Beyond Clothing‘s heritage, they are offering subtle colors (black, rustic green and coyote) along with Rescue Red and very limited branding. This jacket is designed to be popped on when needed and work within the Beyond Clothing Layering System for colder weather. Ensuring optimized human performance, regardless of the conditions.
