Premier Body Armor Adds Level IIIA Protection to the Viktos Upscale Hip Pack

Turn Your Everyday Carry Bag Into Concealed Armor

A Discreet Upgrade for Off-Body Carry

Premier Body Armor is continuing to push boundaries in the concealed carry space with its latest innovation: a custom-fit Level IIIA ballistic panel designed specifically for the Viktos Upscale Hip Pack.

This new armor insert brings serious ballistic protection to one of the most popular low-profile carry options available—without compromising comfort or function.

Designed for a Seamless Fit

The Viktos Upscale Hip Pack already checks a lot of boxes for everyday carriers—sleek profile, quick access, and flexible sling or waist carry options.

Premier Body Armor’s new insert is precision-cut to slide perfectly into the pack’s dedicated pistol compartment, offering full ballistic coverage while maintaining instant access to your firearm or gear.

Statement from Premier Body Armor

“We know that more and more people are carrying off-body in hip packs and sling bags, especially for everyday carry,” said Jason Mammano, VP of Marketing at Premier Body Armor.

“Our goal is to give those individuals the option to enhance their gear with trusted ballistic protection that’s designed to fit like it came with the bag. This insert for the Upscale Hip Pack is part of our commitment to supporting the everyday prepared citizen with solutions that are practical, reliable, and purpose-built.”

Level IIIA Protection Without the Bulk

Built from the same ballistic materials used in law enforcement vests, this insert is NIJ Level IIIA rated and tested to stop some of the most common handgun rounds, including:

  • .40 S&W
  • .45 ACP

Despite its protective capabilities, the panel remains flexible and lightweight, tipping the scale at just under half a pound. That means you can carry with confidence while keeping the hip pack’s low-vis look and comfortable design.
