Astral Drops Two New Performance Casual Shoes

Astral Drops Two New Performance Casual Shoes

Astral, manufacturer of industry-leading PFDs and footwear, is excited to announce two new performance casual shoes, the Rover and Rambler. Built on Astral’s all-new RV Outsole, the Rover and Rambler combine style, sustainability, and performance to create superlative mountain sneakers.

Astral’s newest shoes are designed for confidently approaching deep rivers and high cliffs or stepping on bike pedals and skate decks. “These shoes are designed for everyday use by the risk-seeking, working class,” says Astral Founder & CEO Philip Curry. “As always, performance comes first via subtle yet impactful progressions of our Balanced Geometry ® coupled with a finely tuned new outsole we call the ‘RV outsole’. The uppers showcase clean and purposeful design and are crafted with burly recycled polyester and hemp materials.”

An outdoor shoe inspired by action sports, the Rover sets a new standard for rugged, stylish, and versatile footwear. The Rover features a slightly wider toe box than most Astral shoes, and the toe spring is 50% lower, emphasizing Astral’s Balanced Geometry design that respects the natural shape of the foot. With a stylish upper made from 100% recycled polyester plus vegan suede, this men’s style looks more at home on a skate deck than a boat deck–an exciting new silhouette for Astral. It is available now for $130.

An approach shoe with style, the Rambler is equally at home at the climbing gym, the brewery, on the trail, or even at work. The ultimate mountain sneaker, the Rambler features Astral’s new ultra-grippy RV Outsole, plus stylish hemp and recycled canvas uppers. It is available now for $110.
