An Innovative Signal Light for Law Enforcement from Nitecore | NU07LE

July 20, 2023 by Erik Meisner Leave a Comment

The NU07LE is specifically designed for Law Enforcement

Nitecore offers one of the largest selections of LED lights I’ve seen in awhile. Specializing in products ranging from tactical flashlights to outdoor lighting and power solutions specially designed for law enforcement and military departments. So we’re going to take a closer look at some of their reasonably priced products. Starting with an innovative rechargeable signal light made for Law Enforcement. The NU07LE is a lightweight rechargeable LED signal light with a versatile mounting system.

3 Different mounting options

Designed for use on a tactical helmet, the NU07LE is configured to be directly attached to the Ops-Core ARC rails on the side of the helmet. An additional curved plastic velcro mount allows the NU07LE to be securely affixed via velcro to the rear or top of most ballistic and bump helmets on the market. Remove the NU07LE from the plastic mount and you’ll find a rear mounted clip for attaching to MOLLE webbing. Perfect for a plate carrier or back pack with MOLLE webbing.

This slick little signal light uses a rechargeable 300 mAh lithium ion battery with a 50 hour run time. Nitecore includes a USB-C cord for fast-charging the integrated battery. But you’ll have to provide your own brick to plug into the wall.

About Nitecore

With the industry-leading innovative power for 14 years, NITECORE is the first brand to achieve a grand-slam milestone in the industries of professional lighting and chargers to receive the German iF Design Award, Red Dot Design Award, the Japanese G-Mark (Good Design) and the American IDEA, as well as Gold Winners of the ISPO Award and Outstanding Outdoor globally recognized in the outdoor industry. ~flashlight.nitecore.com

11 available light modes

With 5 different colored LED’s encased in the translucent shell, there are 11 available light modes to choose from. Each color (Red, Green, Yellow, White & Blue) can run in solid or blinking modes. Agencies can differentiate teams by using assigned colors and/or blinking lights. Additionally, the 11th feature is a Red & Blue flashing mode. Similar to the lights on a police car. The transparent shell of the NU07LE affords visibility from all directions. A nice feature when the element of surprise or stealth isn’t necessary. Keeping teams organized in training environments or search and rescue situations. All modes are accessible through a single button operation. Push and hold the button and you cycle through all 11 modes. A two second push will turn on and off the unit.

Final Thoughts:

For $30, the NU07LE is hard to pass up. It’s very lightweight and durable with a super flexible mounting system. The unit carries an IP66 rating so there’s no worries when using it in adverse conditions. And the really long runtime allows worry free operation for up to 50 hours. This unit would be perfect for LEO or military training environments as well as Search & Rescue. I can envision a scenario where a helicopter coordinates teams on the ground identified by color illuminators. Check out Nitecore for all your illumination and power needs.
