One-Day Firearms Training with Achilles Heel Tactical: Real Progress in Just Eight Hours

August 18, 2025 by Scott Witner Leave a Comment

One-Day Firearms Training with Achilles Heel Tactical

If you’ve ever felt stuck on the range—burning ammo but not actually improving—Achilles Heel Tactical’s one-day firearms training courses are designed to change that. These focused, eight-hour blocks strip away bad habits, introduce performance data you can actually use, and give you the confidence to shoot faster and more accurately under pressure.

Unlike the typical “stand in a line and shoot” class, AHT’s training starts with a baseline assessment and builds from there. Using drills like the Dope Drill, instructors gather hard numbers on your shooting ability—no guesswork, no ego, just data. From there, students are pushed past their comfort speed while maintaining accuracy and accountability.

Founder Rick Crawley, a Marine Corps veteran and former law enforcement officer, emphasizes real-world application. “It doesn’t take weeks or months to see improvement,” Crawley explains. “With the right structure and feedback, one day is enough to completely reset how someone approaches shooting.”

What Makes This Training Different?

  • Data-Driven Drills – Performance is measured, not guessed.
  • Accountability at Speed – Students are challenged to push faster without losing accuracy.
  • Movement & Transitions – Training reflects real-world demands, not static target practice.
  • Visible Improvement – Courses end with a measurable performance check so you can see the results.

We’ve seen everyone from USPSA competitors to everyday CCW carriers walk away from these courses with tighter groups, faster splits, and a new understanding of what they’re capable of. Even shooters with decades of experience realize they’ve been reinforcing bad habits until someone breaks down why things were going wrong.

Who’s It For?

Whether you’re military, law enforcement, a competition shooter, or just a responsible citizen who carries daily, these one-day classes give you the tools to perform under stress—where it actually matters.

Final Thoughts

Too many shooters spend years on the range without really moving forward. Achilles Heel Tactical’s one-day training model solves that by giving you structured feedback, performance metrics, and the confidence to replicate your results. If you’re serious about getting better—not just punching paper—this is the kind of training worth your time.
