NOCS Provisions Zoom Tube 8×32 Monocular

We’ve been a fan of NOCS Provisions for some time now. Having previously reviewed and still loving their Standard Issue Binoculars. However, a couple of recent additions to the NOCS line-up include a Monocular design that really peaked our interest. The Zoom Tube 8×32 Monocular. This smaller form factor is more compact, lighter, more packable yet retains the same 8x magnification and optical quality as the binoculars. Making it perfect for hunters, hikers or anyone looking for an optic that’s a bit easier to bring along.

The unique textured and ruggedized design of the original binoculars is carried through out the line-up. Coupled with Multi-Coated optics, a buttery smooth focusing knob and a generous field of view at 1000 yards, the Zoom Tube will be on my hunting packing list. I recently went camping on Drummond Island in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Giving me an opportunity to use the Zoom Tube as well as compare it to the Standard Issue Binoculars.

NOCS Provisions Zoom Tube Overview:

“Built from the ground up as a monocular ready for anything. Designed to pack easily, and be held effortlessly, the Zoom Tube is the monocular you wished you had all along. Top shelf optics in a compact go-anywhere package.” ~nocsprovisions.com

Final thoughts:

After a few weeks with the Zoom Tube, I have a few thoughts. I love the smaller size and will definitely pack the Zoom Tube on my next hunting trip. It’ll be perfect for glassing white tail deer in Iowa. I did find that my eyes tired quicker when looking through a monocular vs. a pair of binos. Mainly because I’m closing one eye. It’s a bit harder to hold the Zoom Tube steady with one hand vs. two. The rotatable eye cup in nice so you can rest the Zoom Tube against your eye socket to help stabilize. If you have a tripod, NOCS installed a threaded insert into the base for mounting. All-in-all, a great product. And I can’t wait to get my hands on a pair of their new 10×42 Pro Binoculars. So stay tuned…

About NOCS Provisions:

Nocs was born at the Citadel of Excitement, with a dream of juicing every last drop of our time outside. We kept wishing we had a set of nocs enough times where finally one day we bought some. And we used them every day. Checking the surf. Exploring backcountry lines. Watching our raccoon pals emerge at night. Seeing the world differently. On a closer level. Inspired by life at the beach, Nocs is an ode to the original seafarers and coastal pioneers. Nocs Provisions is a collective of people who are stoked to seek the unseen. To travel curiously, and to discover the best spots along the way. The design is inspired by the seemingly symmetric yet completely unique lines of the sea and the coastal dunes where they meet. The logo is inspired by the sunset. And the packaging is plastic free.
