5.11 – Endo. K Insert Kneepad – Improved Knee Protection

January 19, 2025 by Art Dorst Leave a Comment

I’ve been using 5.11 Knee pads for about five years now. Recently, I received a set of the new Endo. K Insert Kneepads. The old style was a paw print design which fit into the knee pockets of 5.11 tactical pants. I had never really given much thought to the use of them as my door kicking days are behind me, until I bought my house five years ago and started storing stuff in the crawl space/basement. The crawl space is about three feet high and is concrete. I didn’t think too much about it until I had to go down there on a regular basis to organize things or do minor repairs. What I quickly learned was how fast the concrete can tear up your knees. That’s when I recalled that I had a pair of the old style and put them to use. They were knee savers.

The new Endo. K Insert Kneepad are a rectangular shape, thicker, and with an improved silicon grip print that prevents them from sliding around in the pocket built into most 5.11 tactical pants. Additional features listed on the 5.11 website include the following:

  • Low profile, following contour of knee allowing for minimal printing on pant.
  • Dims: 5.98″L x 8.98″H x .25″W
  • Flexible for optimal knee movement

I’ve been using the new Endo. K Insert Kneepads for about six weeks now, going into the crawl space and exploring the outdoors. As good as the old style was, the new Endo. K Insert Kneepad are much better. There is almost zero movement of the pad in the pocket. Comfort is noticeably improved by the shape. Other noteworthy improvements are the silicone nonslip print and overall thickness. If you are someone who spends time on their knees, whether in a tactical setting or working construction, these are a great addition to your safety and comfort. I am extremely satisfied with the quality and comfort provided by the pads. MSRP is $15.00
