Unmatched visibility through Costa’s Pilothouse Sunglasses

Ever since my time back in the Army, when I was issued my first pair of Oakley Gas Cans, I’ve become a connoisseur of sunglasses. From Ray Ban to Oakley, I’ve tried and worn them all. In fact, prior to this product review, I had never worn a pair of Costa sunglasses. Honestly, I had barely even heard of them. But after testing the Costa Pilothouse sunglasses on a recent trip, I may have to convert.

When asked to review the Costa Sunglasses, I was a little weary at first. But after trying them I was quite impressed. Right from the packaging, I felt like I was holding something of excellent quality. Not only did they look good, but they felt good too. The wide view of the oversized frame allowed for full coverage and protection from the elements. Plus, it gave me a view just as advertised, like I was sitting in the ship’s Pilothouse.

The extra-large titanium frame of the Pilothouse is very lightweight and features textured Hydrolite® rubber temple pads, which helped grip my face. Especially when sweating in the 100 degree heat of Arches National Park in Moab, Utah. Furthermore, full motion nose pads allowed for easy adjustments to fit my nose. Making the Pilothouse the perfect all-day pair of shades.

PILOTHOUSE FRAME SPECIFICATIONS:

  1. Frame Width: 134.9mm
  2. Bridge Width: 14.7mm
  3. Lens Width: 64.0mm
  4. Lens Height: 48.4mm
  5. Temple Arm Length: 128.0mm

The gray silver mirrored polarized lens, simply put, were awesome. Costa’s lens technology and polarization is unmatched in the industry. Enhancing both contrast and color like no other pair I’ve worn. Additionally, these lenses provides 100% UV A/B/C protection! And the lightweight 580P impact resistant Polycarbonate lenses weigh next to nothing, allowing comfortable all day use.

Final thoughts:

Whether fishing, hiking or going out to dinner, the Costa Pilothouse Sunglasses are a great fit for all occasions. No matter the lifestyle the Pilothouse exuded both sophistication and adventure alike. And this is why I highly recommend the Costa Pilothouse Sunglasses. Take a chance and see for yourself what Costa Sunglasses has to offer.
