Phoozy Tablet Case | NASA Level Protection for your iPad

October 11, 2022 by Erik Meisner Leave a Comment

Like my previously reviewed phone case from Phoozy, the 11″ Tablet Case offers a lot of the same protections for your tablet or laptop. Bump protection with the Imactor Core 2.0. IP66 water protection using HydroGuard technology. And even hot and cold temperature protection. This is achieved by using a patented Chromium Thermal Barrier adapted from NASA technology. The same material that protects astronauts, electronics and satellites in the extreme conditions of space.

A recent trip to the Caribbean to explore the underwater environment became the perfect test site for the Tablet Case. Since I maintain my dive log on a tablet, I often bring it along on the dive boat. Mainly to update data, dive site location and annotate marine life between dives. However, dive boats are inherently wet. And with SCUBA tanks and gear banging around, can be a very dangerous place for an unprotected tablet. The Tablet Case from Phoozy seemed to be designed for this very trip. And covered my assets like a pro.

Phoozy Tabet Case Video:

The HydroGuard Technology baked into the outer fabric of the Tablet Case shed the saltwater like the feathers of a duck. Leaving me worry-free between dives. Plus, the robust Impactor Core padding and soft inner liner protected my iPad from the bumps incurred from the deck, gear and tanks. And since the Tablet Case is so slender, it easily slid into my regulator bag when not needed. Additionally, we are now using Enriched Air Nitrox. So it’s important to check our gas mix and do a few calculations. The Nitrox App on the tablet helps us confirm our max depth allowable for a safe dive.

The Tablet case includes an adjustable shoulder strap for solo carry. Additional clips allow transport vertically or horizontally to better suit your needs. I used the Tablet Case as my only carry-on item for this trip. Although I was able to fit my tablet, AirPods, Passport and documents inside. I really wish it had an additional zippered exterior pocket for those items and charging cable. Making it even more functional for airline travel.

Final Thoughts:

I find the products from Phoozy to be quite handy. The material and craftsmanship are top notch and they really serve a purpose for me. I often travel with a MacBook Pro, iPad and phone. And find myself near water or in extremely hot or cold climates. The Insulation and water protection are critical factors in keeping sensitive electronics safe in these environments. I see a use for this in the Overland space as well. High temperatures while traveling in the desert can be harmful to electronics.
