Phoozy | NASA inspired protection for your cell phone

May 13, 2024 by Erik Meisner Leave a Comment

Phoozy

You may not be heading to the moon anytime soon with your cell phone. But that didn’t stop Phoozy from using NASA-grade technology to help protect your phone on its next Earthly adventure. Made from a proprietary UltraSkin that’s both UV and water-resistant. And a Chromium-infused thermal barrier to protect against both heat and cold. Much like a spacesuit, the Phoozy XP3 is one of the most advanced forms of protection for a smartphone. What sets the Phoozy apart from waterproof cases on the market is its positive buoyancy.

Spacesuit technology for every adventure and every device.

Much like the founders of Phoozy, I am an outdoor adventurer. I love to ski, kayak, SCUBA dive, and travel. And my phone is a necessary tool for travel and work. Operating in both extremely cold and hot climates can put a strain on the delicate electronics in my iPhone. I’ve often left the phone in the sun only to find it has automatically shut down to protect from extreme heat. On the flip side, a day of skiing in Utah will drain the battery in a few hours even in my inner jacket pocket. The Phoozy XP3 is perfect for both of these situations.

The outer reflective material shields the phone from direct sunlight. And the proprietary insulating layer provides a barrier from environmental temperatures. Creating a mini spacesuit for your phone. The velcro top opening features two large UltraGrip pull-tabs that can be easily grasped with ski gloves. Opening the Phoozy, you’ll find an internal stash pocket for ID, credit cards and cash. Lining the interior of the Phoozy is a soft micro-fleece to prevent scratching. While the Impactor Core exceeds military drop-test standards (MIL STD 810G 516.6) by more than 2X. Finally, Phoozy easily attaches to backpack, belt, carabiner, lanyard or PHOOZY Attachment Straps for quick and secure access to your phone.

Phoozy XP3 Video Overview:

Although the Phoozy XP3 is not a waterproof enclosure, most modern smartphones carry an IP67 rating or better. What the Phoozy does is float. Unfortunately, my first iPhone 3G is still sitting at the bottom of Thumb Lake in Northern Michigan. It had an unfortunate overboard situation at the boat launch. Never again will I lose a phone overboard. Well, maybe not. At least the next “phone overboard” will be recoverable if it happens, due to the Phoozy’s positive buoyancy.

If you like operating in the environmental extremes like I do, take a look at the entire Phoozy Thermal Capsule line. Your smartphone will thank you. Bonus: you can see the founders of Phoozy knock it out of the park on The Shark Tank here. As two sharks team up to take this company to the next level.

“PHOOZY empowers technology users to pursue their passions and epic outdoor adventures without worry of environmental limitations. Premium products provide thermal, drop and float protection for smartphones, tablets and laptops. PHOOZY is dedicated to inspiring its customers to live an active lifestyle fueled by their passions and thirst for adventure without limitations.” ~phoozy.com
