Mystery Ranch Mission Duffle 55L | Adventure Ready

November 30, 2024 by Art Dorst Leave a Comment

The Mystery Ranch Mission Duffle is an adventure/travel-ready bag that can fulfill many needs. Constructed of high-quality materials, workmanship, and full of well-thought-out handy features. Making it user-friendly. The Mission Duffle can be carried by its built-in carry handles that snap together, detachable shoulder strap, or detachable backpack straps providing multiple options for carry. There are multiple attachment points for the shoulder strap which allows for options on how you’d like to employ it. There are reinforced grab handles on all sides for ease of retrieval from storage compartments.

On the outside of the main compartment flap cover is a zippered pocket that is perfect for small items that you might store while going through airport security or want quick access to such as phones, wallet, and passports. One end of the Mission Duffle is a shoe/laundry compartment for holding items that you don’t want to come in contact with your clean items. The other end of the Mission Duffle has a large, zippered pocket for larger items that you’d want quick access to like gloves, hats, phone chargers, even a water bottle, and snacks.

Mystery Ranch Mission 55L Duffel Overview:

The interior of the Mission Duffle features a large storage compartment, but there is also organization built into the interior. Unzipping the main compartment and lifting the flap reveals small and large zippered mesh pockets on the flap. Also built into the body of the front wall of the Mission Duffle is a slash pocket and another zippered mesh pocket. These interior organization pockets are great for keeping all your smaller items available without having to search for them through the main compartment. The large mesh pocket on the flap can easily hold a personal hygiene kit plus another item.

According to the Mystery Ranch website, the bag is made of recycled 840D ballistic carbonate coated nylon is weather-resistant, durable, and fully lined interior with 210D nylon for added protection.

  • Dimensions: 55L: 23″x13.25″x12.25″
  • Weight: 55L: 3.2 lb
  • Volume: 55L: 3,275 cu-in

The Mission Duffle has a durable and waterproof feel to it. My wife and I used it to carry all our clothes and personal items on a weekend camping trip recently and had room to spare. It carries easily and comfortably using the carry handles, shoulder strap, or backpack straps, my personal favorite. If I were using this for airline travel I would utilize packing cubes for my clothing just to keep them from shifting around during handling. I believe that the Mission Duffle 55 L would have no trouble making the cut for carry-on-only travel. I personally prefer soft side carry-on bags as they can be stuffed into small overhead spaces or under the seat if necessary. The Mission Duffle is also available in a 40 L and 90 L sizes. If there is one thing I’d like to see added to the Mission Duffle it would be to add four compression straps on the sides to minimize the size when packed.

The Mystery Ranch Mission Duffle is a high-quality, well-thought-out out piece of travel kit. The size, organization, and carry options provide the user with many options. Additionally, I think it would be equally at home on outdoor adventures as well as any domestic or international travel. MSRP is $199.99 for the 55 L.
