Firearms, Gear, Training & Industry Analysis
First off, let me say I’m not here to compare resumes or try and distract from John “Shrek” McPhee in any way. If you take my years in the military and contracting and multiply them by three, that’s John’s years. This is an article about nuance and fundamentals. Shrek, in the past, put out a […]
The Vandal is Toor Knives mid-size belt knife. This makes it multi-functional. Its as comfortable carrying concealed IWB as it is sitting on my battle belt or plate carrier ready for some guaranteed contact with the enemy. It’s more or less a slightly larger version of the Toor Viper, but with some better ergonomics. I […]
The Blade-Tech Classic OWB holster for railed government 1911’s is the last general-purpose 1911 holster you’ll need to buy. It’s not super tactical but is easier to carry for day-to-day activities. Their argument back was basically “What distance does the average gunfight happen at?” and I have some issues with that line of logic. Allow me to […]
The third iteration of the Trident AT from Studies and Observations Group is a great pocket knife for first responders or to keep in the car for emergency situations. It comes in a few different blade profiles and colors. I happened to get my hands on the updated Red and Black Tanto blade before it […]
The Kershaw Static knife is a handy little EDC blade. More of a utility blade than a defense blade, the design is perfect for slicing and shaving. That’s not to say it couldn’t be used in defense, its perfectly capable of stabbing and slashing, but the design isn’t geared that direction. As such, it makes […]
